Belajar Bahasa Inggris

Ya....ini hal sangat ingin aku bisa. Meski kemampuanku pas pasan tapi aku mau belajar. Kendalanya karena mungkin kedua mataku sudah silinder yang sering membuat kemampuan bacaku sangat banyak berkurang dan membuat kepalaku lebih sering pusing dan tidak bisa berkonsentrasi. Tapi aku gak mau terhalang itu semua, aku harus berusaha..aku ingin tahu bagaimana rasanya jadi bisa memiliki kemampuan berbahasa inggris, baik dalam lisan aupun tuluisan.
Bacaan berbahasa Inggris aku harus sering baca, mendengarkan berita berbahasa Inggris, Mendengarkan lagu berbahasa Inggris, membaca koran atau apapun yang berbahasa Inggris, nonton film dll.
Banyak yang harus diperhatikan akan tepai katanya belajar bahasa Inggris itu perlu feeling jadi akan mudah katanya.

Tense , where you cannot see the auxiliary

we don not (don't) have a deal

negative words
no....no one...no thing, never, no longer, neither, ...nor, (very) little, (very) few

negative verbs

There are some people.       There are not any people.
positive verb + negative words
There are no people

There was someone at home.   There was not anyone at home ---------> There was no one at home

We saw something.      We didn't see anything ------------> We saw nothing.

I have always done this.     I have not ever done this --------> I have never done this

It is still raining.   It is not raining anymore. -------------> It is no longer raining.

We drink both wine or bear. We don't drink either wine or bear. --------> We drink neither wine nor bear.

They had much money.  They didn't have much money. --------> They had (very) little money.

She knows many peolpe.  She doesn't know many peolpe. --------> She knows (very) few people.


Making words in the subject position negative ' all ', 'everyone', 'everything' 
There are two ways of making these words negative when they are in the subject position of a sentence.
1. By adding ' not ' : not all, not everyone, not everything.
2. By changing the words : none, no -one, nothing.

Note that the sense changes depending an which form you use. All the guests have arrived.
1. Not all the guests have arrived > Only some of them have arrived
2.None of the guests have arrived. > No guests have arrived.
Avoid saying. All the guests haven't arrived. > It is Ambiguous.

example:
Everyone is ready.
1. Not everyone is ready  > Only some people are ready
2. No one is ready > Thera are no ready people.
Avoid saying : Everyone isn't ready.

Making words in the subject position negative : " both VS neither", " someone VS no one ", " something VS nothing ".
There is only one way of making these negative when they are in the subject position : By using negative words.
Both of them are here. >>> Neither of them are here.
Avoid saying : Not both of them aren't here.

Something happened ------------- nothing happened.

Common Mistakes
forgetting the auxiliary when you cannot see it.

I have not any time. ------- I don't have any time
He knows not many people. ------He doesn't know many people.
They went not very far. ------ They didn't go very far.
I do not have finished . ------ I haven't finished.
He doesn't can swim. -----He can't swim.
I didn't be able to call. ------ I wasn't able to call.

Double egative

I don't have nothing. ----- i don't have anything.
or
I have nothing.

I haven't never been there. ------I haven't ever been there.
or
I have never been there.

MAKE n DO

To make ----- to create or generate something concrete or abstract, or to create a change.

Something concrete : - to make
tea          dinner     cars     televisions      a dress    a table     etc.....

Something abstract : To make
a decision     a mistake     a gesture    a choice    an effort    a plan    progress     a presentation    an apology
way    a deal    a promise     room     a suggestion    a mess      time     a proposal     a promise    a note     a loss    etc....

Creating a change : make something
possible
enjoyable
fun
better
more interesting
etc.....

Make fun of someone/something
Make a fool of one self
Make a habit of something
Make a friends/ enemies
Make peace with someone
Make a living ( earn or make money)
Make ends meet ( manage to live on what you earn)
Make do ( manage with available resources)
Make up your mind ( make a decision)
Make the most of something ( get the maximum benefit)
Make heads of tails of something ( understand it)
Make a mountain out of a mle hill ( to evaggerate)

Common phrasal verbs with " make "
Make Up
1. Fabricate
He make up execuses in order not ti finish his work.
2. Form, put together
The report is made up of three parts
Chemist make up prescriptions.
3. End hostilities
The managed to make up after a huge argument.

Make out
1. Be able to see
It was so faggy I couldn't make out everything on the road
2. Claim
He almost that he is poor

Make of = Think of
What do you make of this situation.

Make Up For = Compensate for
Nothing can make up for the damage this has alone.

Make off = leave quickly
He made off as soon as he saw his boss

To Do-------> to undertake a process

Do Without = manage without
I can do without sleep for one night but not two

Do away with = to get rid of
They did away with this law a long time ago.
